They seem to exist solely for target practice as you blast grenades around the environments, seeing what you can blow up and watching as bricks, shattered wood, and bits of cloth fly all over. Offline you can challenge idiotic bots to team deathmatches and capture point game types. In Warmonger, you can do this type of thing, but the gunplay is so sloppy it's hard to really appreciate what's there, even when playing against others online. If you've just climbed a staircase with an enemy in pursuit, you can blow apart the steps below as you climb, cutting off the pursuer's route. For instance, if you know an opponent is hiding behind a brick wall, you can just blast it apart and reveal his position. The most alluring use of this kind of technology for the player, or at least for us, is to be able to modify the stages to your advantage. ![]()
